hey, finally time has come - today i will be flying to Hyderabad. 30 days of relaxation away from the traffic... but know what i will be missing Dubai.

But for now - Hyderabad here i come.

Dubai Rains

Hey its raining in Dubai, climate is chilly like its back in Hyderabad during winter season. Great climate to have loads of fun during Eid Holidays.

Next five days are off days here.

National Day

Tomorrow is national day here in UAE, my plan is to stay as close to my house as possible (can't risk going out and getting stuck in the maddening traffic).

Planning to spend a quiet afternoon at Sahara Mall near to my apartment.

Anyone who has tried to find sharjah police office location will agree with me that its a pain to find the location below are the co-ordinates which can be used with any GPS or Google Earth to find the exact spot where you need be.

Did all my vacation shopping yesterday, been to three different mall and spent lots of dirhams.

Sharjah Traffic

Fun for everyone

Sharjah traffic - today i had a close encounter of the "Time Wasting" kind, had a little scuffle in the al-nahda park roundabout crowd and got a scratch from another

it was a contest between camry (meooo) and corolla (some idiot).... well when you get into trouble there only one winner that is police. well they took their sweet time to get to where we had the little accident and 2 hours got wasted. In the end i got a "no fault" ticket, but wasting 2 hours is not worth ...

bottom line get up early like 5am and start for office by 5:45am - live the shit life.... Working in Dubai one should not look for comforts.

Gold Souk

Before Real Estate and tourism took the first place, one of the things Dubai was originally famous was its Gold Souk.

It is still one of the money grosser for Dubai, Yesterday i went down to Gold Souk and as usual found the parking impossible to fine. If you have to go please plan before and reach there just before shops open say at 3pm on saturday or 3pm friday... there will be plenty of parking and peace of mind as there will be less shoppers.

Dubai Mall

Visited Dubai Mall this weekend and the aquarium there is fantastic, its like you are under the sea - this is the closest you will get to diving in ocean and having a look at "everything that swims"

Weekend Yee

Weekend in Dubai means only one thing Shopping Malls and traffic. Well i am gonna get plenty of both of them as i plan to shop around for my vacation this weekend.

Caution : There is some fireworks display planned @ Dubai Mall, don't bother to go around that area today - but if you like to spend lots of time stuck in traffic then off you go, its supposed to be a good event.

Free At Last

Hey guys... me going on leave in December, will be going to the heavenly Hyderabad. I can almost smell the air, the chatwalas, bawarchi's briyani, two wheeler traffic jams, Charminar, Old City, RTA Busses, familiar roads, cheap books (can be purchased on sunday @ Abids Footpath :) ) and last but not least Meenakshi Paan.

Isabgol

A word of advice for all new parents, if your toddler is having trouble with digestion - try Isabgol which is a natural vegetable (sort of) better than anything pharmacy has to offer.

Newz of the day for UAE Expats - Extension of Emirates Id registrations till end of 2009. Yeee now we can wait till Dec 2009 and see if they will extend to Dec 2010
